Corona Virus update
COVID-19 UPDATE We know you've been hearing and reading a lot about the CoronaVirus / Covid-19 Here's a quick update about your Padstow Physio Appointments.
đ All appointments are going ahead as normal.
đ¤We will invite you to wash your hands before and after consults as will our Padstow Physio team.
đPractice Hygiene â Staff will be wiping down payment terminals and door handles and beds more frequently; and have been again educated RE: infectious disease policies.Based on review of the current advice from World, Commonwealth and State health authorities our practice has now moved into a phase of heightened alertness with regards to the virus COVID-19 (aka Coronavirus). This is purely proactive on our part and is aimed at reducing our risk of exposure and subsequent quarantine of any affected staff members as well as for the protection of our broader patient community.
To maintain the health of both staff and patients, at this time we are kindly asking the following:
Anyone who has recently travelled overseas âď¸ (regardless of country/ies visited) who have developed flu like 𤧠and / or respiratory symptoms since returning are asked to reschedule their physiotherapy appointment and instead seek medical review via their GP clinic. It is suggested that you phone ahead to your GP clinic as it may be possible for testing to be arranged without you visiting the surgery.
đIf you have been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or someone who is at high risk of a positive test, then we ask that you do not attend for a physiotherapy appointment or until you are cleared by a medical agency to do so.
đ If you are feeling unwell then we ask that you proactively reschedule your appointment to when you are feeling better.
đ We have the ability to do online consults using messenger/ whatsapp - if that is required. Online consults have been proven to be effective.
Thank you for your cooperation with the above. As a small health care business, the impacts of exposure and subsequent mandatory quarantine as is currently the case for COVID-19 would be substantial and could result in the closure of our clinic. Please get in touch with us if you have any other concerns or questions.
